I was born and raised
on Maui and currently live on Maui. I left the island for several years in my young adult life serving nine years in the Navy, stationed
in Florida, Subic Bay Philippines, Yokosuka Japan, and Pearl Harbor Hawaii. I
served the country in many different aspects from the duties of a
mini-tug operator to an admiral's operations officer to a base First
Lieutenant, to military police.
In
1991 I was selected for the Honolulu Police Department and after 3
years I transferred to the Maui Police Department to be closer to my
grandfather who was diagnosed with cancer. In 2005, for the sake of my
children, I left the force and served as the Director of Development
for the Maui Humane Society for 2 ½ years before starting my own
business.
